Climate and Energy Model Region Zell am See-Kaprun is a Model Region for Sustainable Tourism
Since 2020, Zell am See-Kaprun has been a climate and energy tourism focus region, with the Ferry Porsche Congress Center serving as a valued cooperation partner and an exemplary business within this future-oriented project region.
When the strategy for the first three years of the Climate and Energy Model (KEM) Tourism Focus Region Zell am See-Kaprun was developed in 2020, the businesses in the region played a crucial role. Through the KEM program, the Zell am See-Kaprun region effectively showcases its sustainability initiatives, to which we actively contribute.
Mobility, Energy, Regional Products
The KEM program is based on three pillars. The core theme of "mobility" encompasses public transportation and the promotion of sustainable modes of transportation. The second key focus is "energy", which involves the use of renewable energy sources and the expansion of climate-friendly heating systems. The third pillar is "sustainable procurement of regional products", which emphasizes the importance of sourcing and utilizing local products and goods.
The Climate-Friendly Role of the FPCC
Being a tourism-focused region, businesses in our area have a significant role to play within the Climate and Energy Model Region (KEM). From the beginning, our goal for the FPCC has been crystal clear: to become a leading example of business within the KEM, and we are making remarkable progress towards that. By investing in renewable energy sources, implementing energy-efficient lighting, offering organic catering, and promoting public transportation, we have successfully embraced several key elements of the KEM concept, and we take great pride in that achievement.
